April 07 2020
Ambar Kelly is proud to announce its work on the One Crown Place project has been shortlisted for the ‘Best Tall Building Technology Innovation Award’ at this year’s highly-anticipated Tall Buildings Awards.
The Tall Buildings Awards celebrate the pioneering projects, products and people who are defining skylines using unique engineering solutions. Ambar Kelly and main contractor Mace received a joint-nomination within this category for the implementation of the total riser zone solution, RiserSafe®. RiserSafe® is an innovative technology which combats many construction-related issues including eliminating the risk of falls from height and the spread of smoke and flame during construction.
On the One Crown Place project, RiserSafe® articulated its innovation by keeping site safety a priority and helping the project teams save over £300k, making for a seamless and safe construction process. The nomination is not only testament to the outstanding capabilities of the product, but the diligence, expertise and experience of Ambar Kelly’s project teams and all those involved on the One Crown Place programme.
Speaking on being shortlisted for the awards, Alex Bardett, Managing Director of Ambar Kelly said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for this award. As a company we’re continually looking at how we can use technology to create buildings more efficiently and more safely. Working with Mace on One Crown Place has enabled us to demonstrate how a collaborative approach to technology can provide multiple benefits.”
Nominees will find out whether they have been successful by attending the Tall Buildings Awards ceremony at 99 City Road, London, following this year’s Tall Buildings Conference on 15th September 2020.
